Club History

The Kiwanis Club of Storm Lake (Hy-Noon) was chartered as one of 7,700 clubs in 80 countries in 1921. Our motto is "Serving the Children of the World".

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one community and one child at a time. HyNoon Kiwanis raises over $20,000 every year with our various fundraising projects. The money we raise is invested back in the community in many worthy youth endeavors. We have been a major benefactor of the Storm Lake Field of Dreams and the Community Education Batting Cage. Every year we also contribute to Boy Scouts, Santa's Castle, Adopt a Family and Star Spangled Spectacular. Our members give of our time for elementary students to practice their reading skills. The Kiwanis Community Sailing program has brought sailing to hundreds in the community and we are the only funding source for Officer Friendly.
